📋 How to play

1. Joining and Starting a Game

  • Create a game: One player hosts a new lobby and receives a unique 4-character game code.
  • Join a game: Other players enter this 4-character code to instantly connect to the same lobby.
  • Start the game: Once all players have successfully joined, the host can officially start the match.

2. Game Settings

  • Maximum score: Set the winning threshold to either 5,000 or 10,000 points. The game ends immediately the very moment a player reaches or exceeds this specific score, declaring them the winner.
  • Minimum board entry score: Choose whether players can bank points immediately (0 points) or if they must hit a threshold of 500 points in a single turn before they can start accumulating their total score.

3. Rules of Farkle

  • The objective: Roll dice to accumulate scoring combinations and be the first player to reach the maximum score threshold.
  • Turn gameplay: Roll all six dice. You must set aside at least one scoring die or combination per roll to keep your points and choose whether to bank them or roll the remaining dice again.
  • Farkling: If you throw the dice and none of them form a valid scoring combination, you Farkle! You lose all points accumulated during that specific turn, and your turn ends immediately.
  • Hot dice: If all six dice become scoring dice (either in a single roll or accumulated over multiple rolls), you unlock "Hot Dice" and must roll all six dice again to continue building your turn score.
  • Base scoring combos: A single 1 is worth 100 points, and a single 5 is worth 50 points. Other dice only score when forming groups or special combinations.
  • Three of a kind: Rolling three identical dice awards their face value multiplied by 100 (e.g., three 4s = 400 points). As a special exception, three 1s are worth a massive 1,000 points.
  • Multiples of a kind: Getting larger groups awards high fixed scores. Four of any kind gives 1,000 points, five of any kind gives 2,000 points, and six of any kind awards 3,000 points.
  • Special combinations: Rolling a complete 1-6 straight or throwing three distinct pairs anywhere in a single roll awards a flat 1,500 points.
